UCIAA - Dinners with Anteaters

Join Anteater students and alumni Saturday, May 15,| 6 p.m. PDT for a virtual evening of fun, conversation and mentorship! A long standing UCI tradition, Dinners with Anteaters allows students to connect and engage with alumni in a casual setting over shared UCI experiences. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology: Stress Management

Dr. Bina Parekh will discuss different types of stress and the overall effects of stress on the body and psychological health, including coping with COVID-19. Additionally, the talk will focus on ways to manage stress through the utilization of techniques like reframing, journaling, self-compassion and lifestyle changes.

If you have ever heard about “private equity” you may know of its reputation as one of the most mysterious and difficult industries to break into. But what does a private equity firm really do? What makes private equity different from venture capital and other investment vehicles? How do they impact the market and the broader world? How do you build a career in the industry?

Join Managing Partner, Hasan Askari on April 7th to learn more about the world of private equity and how he cofounded his own firm – K1 Investment Management. Today, K1 is one of the largest and fastest growing private equity firms in LA with over 140 completed investments and billions of dollars under management. Federal Trade Commission Careers Panel
