Want to be more involved in PSA? Apply to be an intern for the 2022-2023 year! Look through each position and decide which intern position interests you the most! Positions will be revealed at the end of fall quarter. This will be a 2-quarter commitment (Winter and Spring).

President/Treasurer Intern

President Intern

Description: As the President Intern, you will help develop and finalize events such as meetings, socials, and various events that PSA offers. Alongside that, you will also help keep track of the club’s finances and help budget to fund events. In future quarters, there will possibilities where you’ll be able to run a meeting or event. You will work directly with me, but you will also communicate with the other board members to finalize plans and assure that what we are doing is the best for our members. You will also help create, plan, and manage our fundraisers by contacting various establishments to collaborate with. By becoming an intern, you will be able to develop skills such as communication skills, leadership skills, management skills, and strong work ethics.

Description: As a Vice President Intern, we will work with the President to make the club run more smoothly. You will learn how to outreach to students or outside organizations for future partnerships and event planning. You will collaborate with the board members to plan and run events. By becoming an intern, you will learn how to outreach, communication, collaborate, event planning, and gain leadership skills.

Description: As a Secretary intern, you will learn how to use MailChimp to maintain our weekly email updates and member mailing list. You will also learn how to use Google apps to record attendance at general meetings and take notes during board meetings. By become an intern you will gain communication and administrative skills which are great for a resume and can easily transfer to any future career!

Description: As a WebMaster intern, you will learn how to navigate and run our Wix website. You will add new and update content to the webpage. No experience needed, just someone who is eager to learn. You will collaborate with the board members to plan and run events. By becoming an intern, you will gain technical skills by learning how to use the Wix website, as well as communication skills, event planning, being detailed oriented and most of all, leadership skills.

Description: As a marketing intern you will assist in creating digital banners to post on social media as well as on-campus (bridges, bathrooms, walls, etc). You should also be well-versed in email etiquette as you will be emailing professors asking to present our club to their class- think of it as a pitch! You will also be responsible for creating banners or any decorations the club may need in the future. For example, fundraising signs for boothing events, end of the quarter social decorations based on the theme picked, boothing decorations, etc. As such, you are expected to have artistic abilities to an extent but it is not required for the position. In addition, we ask that you actively take photos (whether on your phone or camera) of club members engaging in activities so that we may upload them to our social media platforms.

Description: As an outreach intern, you and I will be working closely together to find many different research and job opportunities for involvement for PSA members. We will be working on PSA Fams by hosting many inter-FAM mixers and socials, providing new better ideas and ways to help PSA FAMS better where people get to interact and make new friends and memories with one another. In addition, we will be hosting PSA’s Career and Networking Fair, where we get to connect and network with many professors, employers, and many other important people in the Psychology department to help our PSA members gain new knowledge and connections for their future careers.Through this position, you will gain leadership, communication, and research skills while working with the board, myself, and other members.
